About our specialty tea August
Why August specialty tea?

At teamotion company, we are passionate about crafting unique and flavorful tea blends that not only tantalize the taste buds but also offer a myriad of health benefits. Our decision to create the August Tea blend was inspired by a desire to showcase the diverse flavors and medicinal properties of Siberian herbs and berries, while also paying homage to the rich herbal traditions of the region.

Each ingredient in our blend was carefully selected for its unique flavor profile and health benefits. Ivan tea provides a robust base with its earthy notes, while ginger adds a spicy kick and aids in digestion. Karkade contributes a vibrant color and a tart flavor, while Masala spices lend a complex and aromatic taste. Lastly, rosehip berry adds a touch of sweetness and is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.

Hand-picking herbs: a labor of love

Hand-picking herbs and berries for our August Tea blend is a labor-intensive process that requires skill and dedication. Our team of expert foragers carefully selects each herb and berry, ensuring that only the highest quality ingredients are used in our blend.

Herbs like Ivan tea and ginger are harvested by hand to preserve their delicate flavors and medicinal properties. Karkade petals are carefully plucked from the hibiscus flower, while Masala spices are hand-selected for their aroma and flavor. Rosehip berries are meticulously picked at the peak of ripeness, ensuring maximum flavor and nutrient content.

Once the herbs and berries are hand-picked, they undergo a careful processing process to preserve their freshness and flavor. Ivan tea leaves are dried and fermented to enhance their flavor, while ginger is thinly sliced and dried to preserve its spicy kick.

Karkade petals are dried at a low temperature to retain their vibrant color and tart flavor, while Masala spices are ground and blended to create a harmonious flavor profile. Rosehip berries are carefully dried and preserved to maintain their nutrient content.

After processing, the herbs and berries are carefully blended to create the August Tea blend. Each batch is meticulously crafted to ensure a perfect balance of flavors and health benefits, making a truly unique and delightful tea experience.

This unique tea features a blend of Ivan tea fermented, ginger shavings, Karkade, Masala spices, and rosehip berry, each selected for their distinctive flavors and beneficial properties.

Ivan Tea Fermented

Ivan tea, also known as Russian tea or Ivan Chai, is a traditional herbal tea that has been enjoyed for centuries in Russia and other parts of Eastern Europe. It is made from the fermented leaves of the fireweed plant (Chamaenerion angustifolium), which grows abundantly in the wild. Ivan tea is revered for its rich, earthy flavor and its many health benefits.

Originating from the Altai region of Siberia, Ivan tea has a long history of use in traditional Russian medicine. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties, making it a popular choice for promoting overall health and well-being. Ivan tea is also known for its calming effects, making it a soothing and relaxing beverage.

To brew Ivan tea, simply steep a teaspoon of the dried leaves in hot water for about 5−7 minutes. The longer you steep the tea, the stronger the flavor will be. Ivan tea can be enjoyed on its own or mixed with other ingredients to create unique blends like August Tea.

Karkade

Karkade, also known as hibiscus tea, is made from the dried petals of the hibiscus flower. It is known for its vibrant red color and its tart, refreshing flavor. Karkade is rich in antioxidants, which help to protect the body from oxidative stress and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

Originating from Africa, Karkade has a long history of use in traditional medicine. It is believed to have diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a popular choice for promoting kidney health and reducing inflammation.
